You will work with Vignette’s WCM product line with additional emphasis on our Portal Product. Responsibilities: - Market Intelligence: Understand customer needs and specific requirements. Understand the competitive marketplace and devise strategies to maintain a leadership position.
- Product Messaging: Understand features, functionalities of the products and what critical business problems they address. Communicate these value propositions effectively to analysts, press and customers.
- Sales Enablement: Communicate value proposition of our product to the field sales and services team and support field efforts both in pre-sales and post-sales.
- Collateral: Coordinate cross functionally across the organization to develop and deliver appropriate collateral like white papers, FAQ’s, press releases, and data sheets defining the product.
- Product Development: Work collaboratively with Product Management to formulate new products & determine marketplace positioning.
- Go To Market Planning: Leads the strategy behind comprehensive Go To Market Plans, including pricing, packaging and promotion. Assists Field Marketing in orchestrating demand generation campaigns.
Required Knowledge/Skills: - Product Marketing experience within a high-tech company is preferred, however experience as a Corporate Marketer or selling to Corporate Marketers can substitute.
- Enterprise software experience desired. Experience with web content management, social software, or video/rich media technologies preferred.
- Candidates with a solid understanding of publishing digital content from the business perspective will be given serious consideration.
- Passion for understanding customer requirements, gaining market insight and translating them into product requirements and messaging that help create winning products and go to market plans.
- A strong technical aptitude with experience launching new, complex products that solve enterprise scale business problems.
- Experience creating and delivering compelling sales material and collateral like white papers, FAQ’s, press releases, and data sheets.
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation to both internal stakeholders as well as customers, analysts & press.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with technical resources, while gaining an understanding of the product and translating that into a compelling message.
- Prior experience supporting a sales force from discovery to close via product training.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
- Proven ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to manage via influence and lead cross-functional teams.
- Detail orientation and ability to prioritize activities successfully.
